Orianthi Pangaris is a 25 year old singer songwriter and amazing guitarist from Adelaide, Australia.
She is best known as lead guitarist in the sadly ill fated This Is It concert where she would have performed alongside Michael Jackson.
Orianthi first picked up a guitar at the tender age of six and moved on to electric guitar at age eleven with the help of her father.
At fifteen she dropped out of college and decided to put all her focus on her music and so began her professional career. At eighteen she got asked to jam with the legendary Carlos Santana who asked her to join him on stage at his Adelaide concert. Then three years later in 2006 she signed with Geffen Records and scored a management deal with 19 entertainment.
Since then orianthi has achieved a lot in the world of rock and roll.

- Named in the 12 greatest female electric guitarists
- Appeared as Carrie Underwood's lead guitarist at the 51st Grammy Awards

Orianthi released her second studio album (First album with Geffen Records) Believe in October 2009. The album peaked at number 77 on the U.S billboard chart and so was re-released in June 2010. She really is an incredible guitarist and performer who is especially known for her ability to "Shred".

In my opinion she is one of the best female guitarists out there at the moment, her songs may be a bit on the pop side for many people but there is no denying she can shred like Van Halen themselves.
